It has been an ambitious first half of the year for bpl solicitors limited. We have always embraced new technology and have a strong track record of using the technology available in new and innovative ways. But the pace of change remains an immense challenge and we have chosen to rise to that challenge with a complete overhaul of our technology.
Working off the back of phenomenal growth over the last two years which has seen up open a new office in Bristol and a new office in Bournemouth, we have now followed that up with a massive investment in our IT systems.
Over the last few months, we have instigated a complete upgrade of our core infrastructure bringing our core systems right up to date using the latest Microsoft platforms. This upgrade provides a stable base for future growth and allows us to develop future applications for conveyancing using the very latest technology.
At the same time, we have installed a brand new state of the art phone system that fully integrates with our fee earner’s desk top allowing full call recording, emailed voicemails and powerful in house reporting on phone use all of which will enhance our ability to offer our clients and introducers a better and smoother service whilst at the same time helping our teams to be more efficient and allowing us to focus on areas where we can do better.
As if that were not enough, we have also gone live as of 1st June 2015 with a completely new case management system having upgraded from the venerable Solcase system that has served us faithfully for the past 10 years to the newer and more powerful VisualFiles product from Lexis Nexis. This new system represents a major step forward and allows us to now look to develop new systems and applications all of which will benefit our clients in the coming months with more efficient work flows, more scope to meet the ever changing demands of the conveyancing market and also to develop a few ideas of our own that will enhance customer experience. The new system is seen as state of the art platform for the 21st Century and is backed by one of the largest and best known legal publishers in the industry.
However, notwithstanding that this hard work and investment has been a major project for all of us here at bpl, it is only the beginning of our plans. All of the above projects are vital in themselves to allow us to continue to offer excellent conveyancing services to our clients but they are only the gateway to other projects that we hope over the next months and years will allow further development based on our own in house expertise and analysis of what clients and introducers want and need in order to deal with conveyancing in the current and most importantly future residential and commercial property markets.
Key projects that will flow from the new systems as they bed in, will be new client facing developments for our websites, new ways to update clients as to the progress of their transaction and to report on progress, new and clearer reporting to clients to make sure that they get all the information they need in a way that suits them and that is easily understood and most of all allowing our staff to process and progress matters for our clients as efficiently as possible. In addition to all this, changes behind the scenes that will perhaps pass unnoticed but the public will also contribute to enormous benefits and efficiencies for all our staff.
Managing Director of bpl solicitors limited, David Bridge, commented "All these upgrades are tremendously good news for us and our clients and I would like to thank our dedicated in house IT team for their continued hard work in ensuring these systems have been installed with the minimum of fuss. Not only do they ensure that we remain at the cutting edge of current technology but perhaps more excitingly, they provide a springboard for some creative ideas that we have been developing in house that we are keen to launch over the coming months. The new systems provide a platform into which we can put our considerable experience in conveyancing and all that we have learnt about our clients and introducers to provide the service that the require in a way that suits them. So watch this space over the coming months!"
